Welcome to Consider This

Consider This, Inc. is a Local Community Theater based in Rutherford County, Tennessee.

Consider This is an organization dedicated to spreading appreciation for the performing arts and providing the opportunity for local aspiring actors to audition and participate in a wide variety of dramas and comedies performed for local families and neighbors. Our productions consist of a mixture of high quality performances including comedy, drama, murder mystery, musicals and talent showcases. We invite everyone to come to our performances and try out for acting or support positions for future productions.

Lots of exciting things are happening at Consider This! Shows, drama classes and special projects involve many people making the magic happen. Every year people volunteer their time and talents to keep Consider This Community Theater running. Whether your talents are in onstage, backstage, in the office, or any of the numerous other volunteer positions, we think you’ll find that Consider This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

If you are interested in volunteering to help with productions or auditioning for a future production (or just want more information), email your name, general interest and contact information to Consider This at: considerthisinc@gmail.com

Our Coming Productions

This month we will be starting our concert series with The Newbolds on January 29 at the Smyrna Depot. This will be an album release party for their debut album, Scandalous Love. The opening act will be Tyson Pate. This is a co-production with Running Back to Glory.

Our first play of 2016 will be See How They Run. Performances will be at the Smyrna Railroad Depot. We are excited to partner with La Tavola in Smyrna to be able to offer a Dinner + Show combo ticket! “So swift is the action, so involved the situations, so rib tickling the plot in this London hit that at its finish audiences are left as exhausted from laughter as though they had run a foot race. Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor and actress (he is now stationed with the air force in England), a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old maid who “touches alcohol for the first time in her life,” four men in clergyman suits presenting the problem of which is which, for disguised as one is an escaped prisoner, and a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings on and the trumped up stories they tell him.” Performances are the last two weekends in February.
